Bytegrounds policy

Privacy Policy

This policy explains which information Bytegrounds uses to run the storefront and hosting service.

Effective July 11, 2026 · Version 2026-07-11

Information collected

Account details include your name, email, password hash, verification state, plan, domain, and service status. Contact submissions include the details you enter. Operational records include security logs, truncated error details, audit history, and a one-way hash of the connecting IP address.

Bytegrounds does not store card numbers. Stripe collects and processes payment information on its hosted pages.

How information is used

Information is used to authenticate customers, prevent abuse, create and manage hosting accounts, collect payment, send service notices, answer support requests, troubleshoot failures, and meet legal obligations.

Service providers

Relevant data is shared with Stripe for billing, the configured DirectAdmin server for hosting administration, and the configured email provider for notifications. Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy commitments.

Retention and security

Records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for service delivery, security, accounting, dispute handling, and legal obligations. Account secrets are encrypted or hashed where appropriate and credentials are excluded from normal logs.

No internet service is perfectly secure. Customers should use unique passwords and notify Bytegrounds promptly of suspected unauthorized access.

Your choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of eligible personal information by contacting support@bytegrounds.com. Some billing, fraud-prevention, security, or legal records may need to be retained.
