Hosting & compatibility

What the plans are designed to handle.

What can I host on the Web App plan?

PHP applications, APIs, and built static front ends are the clearest fit. Node.js servers, Python servers, background workers, WebSockets, Docker, and special system packages require a compatibility check before purchase.

Does “AI app hosting” include Claude or Codex access?

No. The plan hosts compatible output from your development workflow. Model subscriptions, API credits, and AI tools are separate and Bytegrounds is not affiliated with those providers.

Is WordPress Hosting fully managed?

Not by default. The plan provides a WordPress-ready hosting foundation and DirectAdmin controls. Hands-on updates, malware remediation, performance work, and recovery are included only if a separate service agreement says so.

Can I bring an existing domain?

Yes. Enter the domain during checkout, then use the nameservers shown in your dashboard after the hosting account is ready.

Are domains included in the monthly price?

No, unless Stripe Checkout explicitly shows a domain line item. Domain registration and renewal remain separate.

How quickly is the account created?

Provisioning starts after Stripe confirms payment. Most successful requests should complete promptly, but capacity or control-panel issues can require an automatic retry and operator review.

Where do I manage invoices or cancel?

Sign in to the Bytegrounds dashboard and open Billing. The Stripe customer portal handles payment methods, invoices, and the cancellation options configured for the service.

What happens if a renewal payment fails?

The account remains available during the documented grace period while Stripe retries and you receive a billing notice. Unpaid or canceled subscriptions are suspended; a later successful payment can restore the same account.

Are backups included?

Backup frequency, retention, exclusions, and customer restore duties are stated in the Service & Backup Policy and the active package. Never treat a hosting backup as the only copy of important data.

Can you migrate my site?

Contact us with the current platform, site size, and runtime. Migration work is scoped separately unless checkout explicitly includes it.
